Lia Moore, LMHC
Serving clients in Indiana via telehealth and in person.
Hi, I’m Lia! I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who works with individuals ages 6 and up, couples, and families. I’ve been working in the mental health field for over five years, and I’ve had the opportunity to work with people from all different backgrounds and walks of life.
I really enjoy helping people better understand themselves, their emotions, and their relationships. I work with individuals who are dealing with things like anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, difficult emotions, and big life transitions. I also enjoy working with couples and families who are having a hard time with conflict, communication, or changes in their relationships.
My approach to therapy is warm, accepting, and collaborative. I want my clients to feel like they can show up as themselves without judgment. I believe that feeling truly understood can be a really important part of therapy, and I enjoy working together to figure out what you need and what might help.
I have training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and I’m currently working toward additional training in Internal Family Systems (IFS). One of the things I especially enjoy is using parts work to help clients understand the different thoughts, feelings, and parts of themselves that may show up in different situations.
Outside of counseling, I’m usually listening to a podcast or audiobook, watching anime or cartoons, having a board game night with friends, spending time outside, or hanging out with my family.
I’m glad you’re here, and I hope you find a space where you feel comfortable being yourself.
